Hi stevepk123,
Welcome to Microsoft Answers Community Forums!
First set the computer to use the soundcard
1- Start-Control Panel-Sounds and Audio Devices-Audio and select your soundcard for playback and recording as Default device
2- Make sure your audio card registers as ASIO. I tried Asio4all but it did not register my card. Found an old one called Asio2ks Vo90-2 and viola it picked up my soundcard. In Asio2ks window I set Configuration to the soundcard and choose minimal latency.
