I do not have your keyboard and I no longer use outboard Midi gear as tone modules. I do use a controller keyboard and the setup should be the same. You have a few options. One is to connect the USB out from the keyboard to your Mac. The other is to connect the Midi out of the keyboard to a Midi interface such as an audio interface and then plug the USB or FireWire output from the interface to the mac. Next you will need to go to your mac Applications Folder --> Utilities Folder --> Audio Midi Setup to configure your devices. If you plan on using the Yamaha as a tone module you will need to configure it to not only send but receive midi. Toshiba 440cdt drivers for mac. Though I've never done it in Logic I think you will need to setup an External Midi Track.

Yamaha Mo8 Driver Mac

Hi Andrei,
I'm not a pro, but we have a similar set-up (MO8 and Logic Pro). Still having problems myself with getting the keyboard to show up in the new track with the new project. I originally tried using Midi cables connected a M-Audio ProFire 610 interface device, then firewire into my MacBook. Found out that Midi cables only transfer 'data' not audio. So we now have the keyboards 1/4' L & R outputs going into the ProFire with 1/4' connectors. Finally have sound through my Yamaha monitors! Yeah! The Profire software has the MO8 showing up on respective channels and I can control them with the ProFire mixer.
Logic Pro also has the ProFire driver showing up in Logic Pro and have chosen it as the audio driver, but the ProFire signals still don't show up on the first track in the Arrange window. It's just titled Audio 1, but nothing is coming through. So that's where I'm currently stuck with getting the MO8 to play in Logic! Hope that helps you a little.
